Come has the winter of 2009, since mid November.
"Finally," I thought."well, it's mid November already" It drops to 20 C these days and I know for sure it's not going to be warm for a few months. Such mild coldness(or coolness, should I say?) is not a bad thing. People may not be so energetic or have so much desire to walk out their homes; instead, they calm down. I would say 'calm down', right. Under the grey sky it's easier to sit at the table, to read, to listen to the music and things like that. Unnecessary moves reduce. I mean like scratching or the desire of unconsciously seeking cold drinks, they just gone. It's just different in everything since we begun to take out long-sleeves, really. Late-autumn or early winter, whatever...now it's time for long-sleeves.
If someone do a simple counting as I did, one will be amazed that T-shirt and short pants dominates more than half of our days in Taiwan. For one begin to wear short-sleeves from April to late October. Now count it: April, May, June, july, August, September, October, and that concludes 7 months. So it is subtropical, even in the northest city of Taiwan, "summer" dominates our season.
Again I would say I'm the least to say 'I love winter', but the feel of coldness/coolness is a thing I would notice. Hope no winter depression this year.
